Depending upon the fabric, condition and construction of the original gown, treasured materials may be transformed or incorporated into pieces such as bridal robes, getting-ready pieces, veils, wraps, ring-bearer pillows, bouquet wraps, keepsake handkerchiefs, garters, small bridal accessories or sentimental details added to the bride's own gown.
And the story doesn't necessarily have to end with the wedding.

The goal isn't simply to make the dress shorter—it's to preserve the design and movement of the gown while getting the length right for you.
That's also why your wedding shoes matter.
Bring the shoes—or shoes with the exact heel height you intend to wear—to your fitting so the hem can be measured appropriately.

Your Bridal Fittings
Your first fitting is where we begin figuring out what your gown needs.
We'll look at how the dress fits, how it falls, how it moves and what alterations or adjustments may help create the finished look you want.
Bridal alterations frequently require more than one fitting. As work progresses, additional fittings allow us to evaluate the changes and refine the fit before the final appointment.
For your fittings, plan to bring the shoes and undergarments you intend to wear with your gown, whenever possible. Those seemingly small choices can change the way a dress fits and hangs.
If you're considering a veil, heirloom piece, accessory or custom addition, bring that too.
This isn't an assembly line.
It's your dress.
